Thrift Store Dress Refashion

I got this dress from Salvation Army for $2 NZD. Pretty outdated and too big for be, but I liked the colour.

First I cut off the shoulder pads and the sleeves, and took off a bit off the length, then I cut the bodice into a more flattering shape.  I removed the old elastic, and shortened the bodice a bit.

I hemmed the armholes and the bottom of the skirt, then sewed along the sides on both the bodice and skirt, and attached the two.

I made a Peter Pan collar using this tutorial, and added it to the neckline.

It was too cold to try the dress on, will post a new pic soon:)
